The Jayplayers
The Jayplayers
Our first rehearsals were in a local park; something of singing outside, in summertime, for no one in particular, that speaks to the natural ease of our collective relationship with music” – remarks The Jayplayers, of their formation in 2013 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Their songwriting is unassumingly authentic, derived from a shared, somewhat unconscious viewpoint. It seems their process was one in the same – to not really have a process; to write without intention, merely recording song ideas as they overcame their minds. “Our songs are most simply commenting on the human condition; words and music in harmony, made to strike a chord in the hearts of many.”

This Americana act, based around the songwriting of Keeley McCue and Chris Weidensaul, has developed from an acoustic duo into a full electric band set up as well. The inclusion of bassist Michael Broda and drummer Tyler Kollinok into the fold, has resulted in their debut LP Glitter & Wine (2016) and upcoming EP, The Jayplayers: Little Bit Country. This sophomore project, recorded in the renowned MilkBoy Studios in Philadelphia, is set for worldwide release in February, 2018 across all digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify etc.).

Over the past four years, not only has their collection of songs grown into a multiple records, but they have also gained great notoriety for their hundreds of live performances. They have moved from playing local eateries and area listening rooms, to nationally recognized venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and World Cafe Live. With their highly anticipated EP on the way and expanded band format, you will surely be hearing even more from The Jayplayers - so stay tuned!
The Quixote Project
We are a neo-roots music outfit. From Rock to Rockabilly, Bluegrass to Blues we like to pull from traditional genres to blur the fine lines of modern music. "Frontman Jeff Selby and a revolving cast of musicians have distilled the multi-genre sounds of a beachfront music festival into a remarkably cohesive live set, with hints of bluegrass, folk, and rock in a style that would be pigeonholed as “jam” if the songwriting wasn’t so explicitly pop-oriented" says Dave Fox of MUSIC WITHOUT LABELS.

We are honored to have most recently received "Americana/Folk band of the Year" "Musician of the Year" and "Instrumentalist of the year" for the 2017 Elephant Indie Music awards. We recently released our new record "Land of Plenty" produced at Cambridge Sound Studios. Our last album "Bone Shaker" helped us get nominated as "NJ Indie Band Of The Year" by Tri State Indie, and our song "Tread Easy" was nominated for "Best Folk Song" by 93.7FM Hometown Heroes at the annual Homey Awards.

We have shared the stage with notable artists such as Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Charlie Daniels, John Pardi, Ben Arnold, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, The Goddamn Gallows, Hoots & Hellmouth, and many other regional/locall bands. We sincerely appreciate the continued love and support. Cheers music. The QP
Jason McGovern and the Describers
Winner of the 2017 Philadelphia Songwriters Project Songwriting Contest, Jason wants to sing you songs and is trying hard not to overthink it. Just like he overthinks most things. Just like he's totally overthinking this bio. Leaning on his Americana, singer-songwriterly and offbeat influences, Jason is equally comfortable sitting beside a peaceful stream of quiet acoustic tones as he is drowning in a sea of electric guitars and drums. He just wants to sing you songs - raw, wry and honest song Jason has also appeared on the Lyrikplatz stage at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa., WSTW's Hometown Heroes, abc27's Good Day PA! and WNJR's acousticSongs LIVE!
