Sweden's Queen of Swing GUNHILD CARLING the amazingly talented Swedish jazz musician and multi instrumentalist is famous for playing three trumpets at the same time! Gunhild excels at trombone, trumpet, and even bagpipes. She often showcases her talents in one song, even breaking into a tap dance and singing the roof off! She's featured in Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox version of 'Never Going to Give You Up' and a 1920's jazz swing version of 'Material Girl'. Her World Cafe Live debut marks the first time she’ll be performing in Philadelphia. This new project: Gunhild Carling & Friends had its first experience last May, on the West Coast, with amazing performances in San Diego, Long Beach (The Queen Mary) and Los Angeles (The Cicada Club). Daniel Glass (drums) and Dave Post (upright bass) are part of this fabulous band, among others. Get ready for a night of Hot jazz, Swing, Dixieland, Vintage Sounds, Retro Style, and Traditional dance music, but not in a traditional way!
